Q: Can I customize my meal plan to fit my specific dietary needs (gluten-free, dairy-free, Paleo, Whole30, vegetarian, vegan, etc.).

Currently, I do not offer individually customizable meal plans. My recipes are made from whole, mostly seasonal ingredients, and are designed to be easily adapted to a variety of dietary needs. You will find that if you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or dairy-free, many of the recipes will already work for you – either as written, or with a few small tweaks.


Q: Where do you find your recipes?

All recipes are created and tested by me (i.e. Anna Watson Carl, author of The Yellow Table). I put a lot of time and energy into making sure each recipe actually works, and that it is clearly written with easy-to-follow instructions. For each weekly menu, I create 3 brand new recipes and include 2 favorites from The Yellow Table archives.


Q: I don’t plan to cook 5 nights per week. Can I sign up for a 2- or 3-night menu plan?

I realize that most people don’t cook every single night of the week. I send out 5 recipes each week so you can have a selection of recipes to choose from. The ones you don’t cook, you can just save for another week.


Q: How do I cancel my subscription?

Simply click on “My Account” in the top right hand corner of the website. You will be able to cancel your subscription at any time. You may also log into your account to change your credit card information, update your email, change your password, or add a mailing address.


Q: What makes your service unique?

Joining Yellow Table Weekly is like having your own personal meal-planning concierge. My goal is to take away the headache of weeknight meals (i.e. tedious hours of meal-planning) so you can spend more time focusing on the fun parts (cooking, eating delicious food, and spending time with your family!).

Rather than pulling random recipes from Pinterest or Google, I develop and test each recipe myself. I put a lot of thought into each week’s menu, to make sure it’s seasonal and well-balanced flavor-wise and nutrition-wise. I try and include a variety of vegetables, lean proteins, grains, and salads, as well as delicious one-pot dinners like soups, stews, curries, or stir-fries. I also think about ways that ingredients can be repurposed and reused and try to create recipes that provide leftovers for lunch the next day.

I know from experience how frustrating it is to ask the question “What’s for dinner” night after night, or to wander the aisles of the grocery store aimlessly, only to end up with the same 20 items you buy every week. I’m here to help make your life a little easier and a lot tastier!

Q: With so many free recipes already available online, why should I pay for this service?

Yellow Table Weekly offers much more than just recipes. It’s a meal-planning service that helps plan your weekly menu and streamline your shopping and food prep, along with providing you with a new batch of healthy, seasonal recipes – all created and tested by me.

Q: Are you planning to make this into an app? What other news features can I expect?

Creating an app is definitely a goal of mine down the road! I also hope to eventually include video tutorials and other interactive features to make cooking these recipes fun, exciting, and approachable.

For now, I just want to get started with a simple product that people can use and enjoy, and then gradually expand as needed. I'm excited to hear your feedback, and to see what happens!
